Delayed release of new Porsche

Matthias Mueller, Porsche Chairman, told journalists that the idea of small roadster such as sub-Boxster would not be understood by modern public.

Long-awaited Boxster’s presentation is postponed

He said they would produce announced roadster later, when there would be public demand for this class of cars. A new approximate date is 2014. This is disappointing news, as Porsche projects in this branch always seem attractive. At least they are still saying they will release new sub-Cayenne SUV next year, and it should be priced lower than Boxster was going to. We will see, but there is no explanation for rejection of such an interesting project like sub-Boxster.
